Agro Ericino Trails

Réseau de sentiers de l'Agro Ericino Réseau de sentiers de l'Agro Ericino
Since 2017, Erice is part of a wide-ranging project – funded by the Regional Department of Tourism in collaboration with GALelimos, CAI and Strada del Vino Erice DOC – involving several municipalities of Agro Ericino, created to enhance and relate natural and agri-food eco-excellence that may be of interest to lovers of nature tourism. The six municipalities of Agro Ericino (Erice, Buseto Palizzolo, Custonaci, Valderice, San Vito Lo Capo and Castellammare) in collaboration with the CAI have created a dedicated web portal where you can find the georeferenced mapping of 15 trails for a total of 110 km.

Erice is an essential part of this project since it is surrounded by pinewoods, whose paths intertwine with those of the ancient walls and allow enjoyable moments of discovery. Here there are many paths that run along the millenary walls that surround the ancient city of Elymium and walking along them allows to discover a natural oasis with glimpses of the landscape that dazzles with its colors and its light, such as the famous path of Sant’Anna that climbs along the western side of Mount Erice and allows you to enjoy an exceptional view.

There are four paths that concern Erice and its fascinating territory:

  • Area of the State Forest of San Matteo
  • Turret Pepoli
  • Sentiero Sant’Anna
  • Gate of Castellammare
  • Tre Chiese
