Cantine Aperte 2025

Cantine Aperte 2025 Cantine Aperte 2025

On Sunday 25 May 2025, the national event Cantine Aperte returns, promoted by the Movimento Turismo del Vino and involving wineries across Italy. In Sicily—and particularly in Western Sicily—many wineries will take part with programmes designed for wine tourists, offering unique experiences among vineyards, tastings, and local culture.

Now in its 30th edition, the initiative is one of the most anticipated events for wine lovers and food and wine tourism enthusiasts. It is a chance to meet producers, discover winemaking processes, and taste local excellence in a stunning landscape.

The wineries of West of Sicily will welcome visitors with a range of activities designed to highlight the region's unique wine identity. Guided tours of vineyards, tastings of native and international wines, sensory workshops, food pairings and entertainment will enliven a day dedicated to wine and hospitality.

Cantine Aperte is also an opportunity to explore the cultural and rural heritage of Western Sicily, through itineraries that pass through historic villages, hills and coastlines, and areas with a strong winemaking tradition.

Program

Each winery will offer its own programme, which may include:

  • Guided tours of wineries and vineyards

  • Wine tastings paired with local food

  • Live music, exhibitions or artistic installations

  • Cultural events and wine education sessions

  • Activities for families and themed workshops

Advance booking may be required. It is recommended to check directly with each winery for full details.
